 A northern New Jersey native, Dr. Sargis Khoobiar received his degrees from Cornell University and St. George’s University School of Medicine. After completing his internship and residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital in internal medicine, he served as Chief Resident. He completed his training in cardiovascular diseases at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. His research resulted in several articles published in medical literature and presentations at national meetings.

He is currently on the Cardiac Rehab Advisor Council at St. Barnabas Medical Center and was awarded the 2012 Departmental Award from the St. Barnabas Medical Center, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for loyalty and dedication to the department

He routinely is involved in teaching of residents and medical students, in both hospital rounds and in the outpatient setting.
